           João Teles e Cunha is currently the researcher of the project Res Sinicae (PTDC/
           LLT-OUT /31941/2017) belonging to the Centre for Classical Studies of the
           School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon, Professor at the
           Institute of Asian Studies of the Portuguese Catholic University, and member
           of the Maritime Academy (Lisbon). His most recent research deals with the
           Jewish presence in Goa and the Estado da Índia (‘Desengano de Perdidos’
