Dr. Mohor Chakraborty is Assistant Professor in Political Science, South
Calcutta Girls›College (affiliated to University of Calcutta), Kolkata, India.
She has been awarded M. Phil and Ph. D Degrees from the Department of
International Relations, Jadavpur University, Kolkata. She has interest in
international affairs, Indian foreign policy, Conflict Resolution and Peace
Studies and Area Studies, with particular focus on South Asia, Southeast
Asia and the Indo-Pacific regions. She is a regular contributor to journals
and edited books related to her interest areas. Her first co-authored book,
Expanding Horizon of India’s Southeast Asia Policy: ‘Look’, ‘Move’ and ‘Act’ East,
Knowledge World Publishers Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi, has been published in 2018.
Her second book, India’s Strategy in the South China Sea has been published by
Routledge (Taylor & Francis) in 2020. Besides, she has published her work in
refereed journals and edited books with prominent international publishers
like Routledge Taylor & Francis Group and Wiley Periodicals, and other
Indian publishers like Pentagon, Gyan, Manohar and Readers’ Service. She has
presented papers at various Indian and international conferences, including at
the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, the Institute for Indian and Southwest
Asian Studies, Hanoi; Binghamton University (State University of New York),
Binghamton, United States; and SOAS, University of London, London, United
Kingdom.
