The Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA), declared an institution of national importance by an act of parliament in 2001 incorporated under the ICWA Act, 2001, invites applications (in the attached form) for positions of (three) Research Fellows on contract basis.
There are vacancies in the areas of China; West Asia and Africa. However scholars specializing in other fields of international affairs, strategic analysis and diplomatic history are also encouraged to apply.
Relevant foreign language fluency, as applicable, in the area of specialization is essential.
Candidates having the following educational qualifications & experience are eligible to apply:-
Knowledge of Hindi is desirable.
The contractual term of Research Fellows in the Council will be of two years, with a probation period of six months. The monthly emoluments will be Rs. 66,250/- p.m. (TDS to be deducted as applicable). The candidates are required to submit No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their current employer, if any, at the time of interview. No other allowances/facilities will be admissible, except TA/DA for official tours at the rates admissible to Group-A Officers of the Central Government.
Selected Research Fellows will be required to undertake research in areas to be determined by the Council. They are also required to organize & participate in conferences, lectures & events organized by the ICWA.
