India Quarterly

The flagship publication of the Council is ‘India Quarterly’ (A Journal of International Affairs). It was launched in 1945 and entered its 65th year of publication in 2009. The responsibility of the publication has now been given to M/s SAGE Publications.

The Council invites articles on International Affairs from scholars both from India and abroad. The journal carries articles on contemporary Indian and world issues. The aim of India Quarterly is to encourage scholars, academicians and intellectuals to author original articles, critically and objectively analysing Indian and international issues of contemporary relevance for publication in the Journal. The Council, as such, does not use the journal India Quarterly to express its opinion on any aspects of Indian and international affairs. The views expressed in the Quarterly Journal are, therefore, those of respective authors and reviewers. This prestigious Quarterly is also indexed in ‘International Political Science Abstracts’ and ‘ABC of Political Science’.

The copyright and all rights of reproduction and translation of material published in ‘India Quarterly’ are reserved by the Council. Application for permission to translate or reproduce any material contained in them should be made to the Editor, India Quarterly.
